WSIB Board members, presenters, and staff may attend Board meetings and Administrative Committee meetings in person or remotely. Meeting Materials
Meeting materials presented in an open public session at WSIB Board and Committee meetings are posted to the WSIB website following each meeting, effective June 12, 2025. These materials can be found in the Meeting Materials section near the top of this page.
Please note that some meeting materials are subject to review and may be exempt from release or releasable only with redactions. Board and Committee meeting materials that are subject to review, or for any meetings that took place prior to June 12, 2025, are not posted on the WSIB website. However, these materials may be requested by submitting a Public Records Request (PRR). Instructions for submitting a PRR are available here: Contact Us.Public Comment
The WSIB is committed to providing opportunities for public comments. The WSIB accepts written public comments before every regular meeting of the full Board. Additionally, time is generally allotted for oral public comments, excluding the annual Board Strategic Planning Meeting. The WSIB Board Chair oversees the hearing of public comments.
To submit written public comment for a full Board meeting, please complete this online form(Opens in a New Tab) at least 48 hours before the Board meeting. Submissions received before this deadline will be distributed to Board members prior to the meeting, allowing sufficient time for Board members to review the comments. If you submit comments after the 48-hour deadline, you will be re-directed to the form for the following Board meeting. You may also mail physical copies of your written public comments or drop them off in person (2100 Evergreen Park Drive SW, P.O. Box 40916 Olympia, Washington 98504-0916).
If you plan to provide oral public comment for a full Board meeting at which oral public comment will be taken, you must sign-up via email communications@sib.wa.gov . Please provide your full name for the record (phonetic pronunciation encouraged) and indicate whether you plan to appear in person or virtually. You will receive confirmation that your notice has been received. If you do not receive confirmation, please email communications@sib.wa.gov to let us know.
To promote fairness among participants and ensure that the Board can conduct its scheduled business, the WSIB establishes reasonable parameters for oral public comment.
- Commenters will be added to the oral public comment roster on a first-come, first-served basis until 45 commenters have signed up.
- The sign-up window for oral public comments will open once the meeting agenda is published on the WSIB website (approximately one week prior to the Board meeting).
- Any individual who attempts to sign up before the Board meeting agenda has been published or after the 45-person allotment has been filled will be notified that they were not added to the oral public comment roster.
- A determination will be made on the time allotted to each commentor, considering both the number of participants signed up and the total time reserved for public comments on the meeting agenda. In advance of each meeting, the time allotted for each comment will be provided to all participants who successfully signed up for oral public comments.
